著名指挥家，执棒于许多欧洲著名的乐团，贝加莫国际钢琴音乐节和北京国际钢琴音乐节的艺术总监。

　　1963年出生于意大利布雷西亚，师从马伦戈尼，毕业于钢琴专业。随后，他又分别师从分切内蒂和伦采蒂学习作曲和指挥。在1988年和1989年，他先后两次进入了由恰卡洛夫和伯恩斯坦执教的大师班学习。

　　皮尔卡罗·奥利丘经常给一些欧洲著名的乐团担任指挥，如丹麦国家交响乐团、萨尔兹堡室内乐团、布拉格交响乐团、布拉格爱乐乐团、瑞士意大利管弦乐团、斯洛伐克爱乐乐团、萨格勒布交响乐团、克拉科夫爱乐乐团等。与其合作也音乐家也是世界闻名：演奏家有保罗·巴杜拉·斯柯达、谭梅文、别列佐夫斯基、席奥里尔、乌托·乌季、阿卡多、詹姆斯·高威爵士、基洛夫、马可·列兹、莉莉亚·齐柏丝坦、法佐赛依、亚历山大·托拉泽、杨文信、卢凯西尼等；歌唱家有塞西莉亚·加斯迪亚、埃特丽、萨拉·明嘉多等。

　　在1998年至1999年的交响音乐季上，皮尔卡罗·奥利丘现身卡塔尼亚的马西莫剧院，并指挥布拉格艺术家乐团与著名的大提琴家罗斯特洛波维奇合作演出。2003年10月，他与阿肯色州交响乐团的合作得到了观众及品论界的一致称赞。此外，他多次在欧洲的音乐节上有成功演出，如瑞典法尔斯特布音乐节、西班牙桑坦德音乐节、德国路德维希堡音乐节、法国圣里奎尔音乐节等。从2001年起，皮尔卡罗·奥利丘经常与玛尔塔·阿格里奇合作为意大利国家电视台录制贝多芬第一协奏曲和舒曼A小调协奏曲，他同时也与钢琴家拉贝克姐妹合作为意大利国家电视台录制了一系列的法国音乐作品。

　　他还与俄罗斯国家交响乐团、瑞典诺彻平交响乐团和圣彼得堡交响乐团合作过几场非常成功的音乐会，他们的演出都得到了听众和媒体的高度赞扬。2008年9月，他曾指挥中国广播电影交响乐团在北京演奏了两场精彩的音乐会，随后又于11月与该乐团在中国其他主要城市进行了巡演，均取得了巨大的成功。2010年，皮尔卡罗·奥利丘担任意大利布雷西亚暨贝加莫国际钢琴音乐节和北京国际钢琴音乐节的艺术总监。

Pier Carlo Orizio

Conductor. Born in Brescia in 1963, Pier Carlo Orizio graduated in piano under Sergio Marengoni, studied conducting with Donato Renzettiand attended master classes held by Emil Tchakarov (Venice 1988) and Leonard Bernstein (Rome 1989).

He has conductedmajor European orchestras such asthe St Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Russian National Orchestra, Camerata Salzburg, soloist Salvatore Accardo, Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra and Danish National Symphony Orchestra. With the Prague Philharmonia, he has recorded Beethoven's First Piano Concerto and Schumann's A Minor Concerto with Martha Argerich as soloist.

A special relationship ties him to China, where he has been Artistic Director of the Beijing International Piano Festival. Since 2008 he has performed in concerts in the most important Chinese music halls with orchestras such as the Beijing Symphony and the China Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra.

In his conducting career, he has worked with legendary artists as Mstislav Rostropovich, Sir James Galway, Rudolph Buchbinder, Boris Berezovsky,participating in some of the main European Festivals.

Pier Carlo Orizio is deeply interested in nowadays music and has conducted piecesby contemporary composers such as Arvo Pärt, Sofia Gubaidulina, Krzysztof Penderecki (solo flute Massimo Mercelli), and premieres by Giancarlo Facchinetti and Mauro Montalbetti, among others.

In 2013 he co-founded with Luca Ranieri the Filarmonica del Festival Pianistico Internazionale di Brescia e Bergamo (of which he has held the position of Artistic Director since 2007) collaborating with prestigious soloists as Uto Ughi, Ramin Bahrami, Daniil Trifonov and Sergej Krylov.

Pier Carlo Orizio has been professor of Orchestral Practice at the Conservatory “E.F.Dall'Abaco” of Verona since 2002.
