　　1997年6月，瑞亚克在法国境内海拔2560米的比利牛斯山的“正午石”上奏响了一架布鲁特纳钢琴，多家电视台现场直播，由此拉开了“比利牛斯山上的钢琴”夏季音乐节的序幕。一年之前他创建的“普罗旺斯之春”音乐节已经名声在外。作为这两个音乐节的艺术总监，瑞亚克直截了当阐明了他的优势，就是依托与他交往密切的艺术大师，让他们在这风景如画的地方聚首演出。

　　瑞亚克职业生涯的起步说来并无特别之处，巴黎国家高等音乐学院就读期间，他在不同导师班上都成绩优异，这些大牌教授包括伊冯娜•勒费布尔、伊冯娜•洛里奥、让•胡布乌、玛切尔•布费尔。此间他在多项国际比赛中摘金夺银，如巴黎的奥利维尔•梅西安国际钢琴比赛第一名、以色列阿图尔•鲁宾斯坦比赛大奖，还取得玛丽亚•卡纳尔斯、哈恩和卡塞拉三项赛事的第二名。

Pierre Reach

One day in June 1997, Pierre Reach played on the top of Pic du Midi, 2600 yards of altitude, on a Bluthner concert piano. This recital, broadcast by many TV channels, has been the debut of “Piano aux Pyrenees” summer festival. One year before, Pierre Reach had already created the “Printemps Musical de Provins” Festival, now a well-known event. As Artistic Director of both festivals, he confesses with simplicity his privilege: to count on great artists between his closest friends and his deep joy to make them play together in beautiful places that he specially loves.

Pierre Reach's career began in a classic way: he studied at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Paris, where he obtained diverse “Premiers Prix” in the classes of Yvonne Lefebure, Yvonne Loriod, Jean Hubeau, Marcel Beaufils, etc. During this period, Pierre Reach has received awards in several international competitions: the First Prize in Olivier Messiaen International Piano Competition in Paris, a medal in the Artur Rubinstein International Piano Competition in Israel. Pierre Reach obtained also three Second Prices: in Maria Canals and Jaen Competitions (Spain), and Casella (Italy).

As a soloist, Pierre Reach has appeared, in solo recitals and with orchestras, around the world: in Japan with NHK and Osaka Philharmonic, with KBS of Seoul, BBC and Halle of Manchester, and National Radio Philharmonique of France, etc. His partners in chamber music are, among others, cellists Gary Hoffman, Christoph Henkel and Alain Meunier; violinists Gerard Poulet and Pierre Amoyal; violist Gerard Caussé, and mezzo-soprano Hanna Schaer.

Pierre Reach is celebrated worldwide as one of the best interpreters of the Goldberg Variations. He has such a true passion for this keyboard masterpiece that he has recorded twice. In 2000, to mark the 250th anniversary of Bach's death, he played the Goldberg Variations 20 times in several EU countries: France, Spain, Portugal, etc.

A professor of the Conservatoire Superieur de Musique de Paris, Pierre Reach is constantly in demand for master-classes in several countries: South Korea, Japan, Portugal, Israel, USA, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, etc. He is also invited to be a member of the jury by several international competitions, e.g., the Piano Masters of Monte Carlo, Olivier Messiaen, Maria Canals, San Remo, etc. He just was nominated in the new Superior School of Barcelona (Spain). The personality of this great artist, made of perseverance and passion, has placed him among the most interesting and attractive pianists of his generation.
